Coverly Life

How we're paid

Coverly Life is free to use. Golden Insurance pays us when we refer someone to them. Here is exactly how that works.

What we do

We run an eligibility check. You answer three questions — your age, whether you’re an Australian resident, and how much cover you’re interested in — and we tell you whether you can apply for Golden Insurance’s life insurance product.

We don’t ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, and we don’t store any. If you’re eligible, we send you to Golden Insurance’s own website, where they ask for those details themselves and get your consent to contact you.

What we are not

Coverly Life is not a life insurance provider, health services provider or financial services provider. We operate exclusively as a referral service.

We don’t issue policies, we don’t decide who gets cover, we don’t set premiums, and we don’t handle claims. We can’t give you advice about whether this or any other insurance is right for you, and nothing on this site is a recommendation.

What we’re paid

Golden Insurance pays us a fee for each person we refer to them who provides their details. That fee comes from Golden Insurance, not from you. It does not change the premium you would be quoted, and it does not depend on which cover amount you choose.

It does mean we have a commercial interest in you completing the check. That’s worth knowing, and it’s why we’d rather tell you plainly than bury it. It’s also why our check tells people who can’t apply that they can’t apply, rather than sending them on anyway.

Who actually issues the insurance

Golden Insurance is a trading name of Neilson Financial Services Pty Ltd ABN 52 668 314 896, AFSL 552284. Golden Insurance products are issued and managed by Golden Insurance as agent of the insurer Hallmark Life Insurance Company Ltd ABN 87 008 446 884, AFSL 243469 (Hallmark Life), who underwrites the Golden Insurance products. Hallmark Life is part of the St Andrew's Insurance Group.

Golden Insurance quotes and sells over the phone. There is no way to buy a policy online, from us or from them.
